This is kinda addictive:

Used a different mic with this one - not sure if it's better or not.

Re: Work in progress: Voice acting
Nice, love the rendition of "Me Likes to Club"!
I want to play too, but I can't find the texts! I looked in the place DarkGod indicated but there's no "chats" directory as far as I can tell. Where exactly do I find these on a Mac?

It's a bit of a bother getting into the data files on a Mac.snoop wrote:I want to play too, but I can't find the texts! I looked in the place DarkGod indicated but there's no "chats" directory as far as I can tell. Where exactly do I find these on a Mac?
1. Right click (or Control + click) on the application
2. Choose "show package contents"
3. From the window that pops up, navigate to Contents/Resources/game/modules
4. You should now see the file "tome-3.9.34.team"
5. Copy the file to another location, such as the desktop
6. Rename it "tome-3.9.34.zip" (choosing to keep the .zip extension in the window that pops up)
7. Double click it, which expands the archive, creating the folder "tome-3.9.34"
8. From the folder "tome-3.9.34", go to "data", then "chats"
After the folder is created, I usually keep it around to check on spoilers and code, and delete the .zip file that I created to clear up the clutter.
Re: Work in progress: Voice acting
Thanks, never would have figured that out on my own...
Re: Work in progress: Voice acting
I've set up a spreadsheet here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc ... E&hl=en_US
It's populated with the lore titles and a few notes. Needs the dialogues added too.

Re: Work in progress: Voice acting

I'll start adding them in once we have more, because a few here & there would sounds a bit weird IMO

Re: Work in progress: Voice acting
How about using a Text to speech (TTS) ?
It can read all the text...
It can read all the text...
Re: Work in progress: Voice acting
That's actually what I first thought of doing (http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=28685) but I found out there are people who volunteer for voice acting which is significantly more realistic sounding. TTS might be good for placeholders but it cannot emulate emotion, at least not without tags that mark specific sentences to be read using a different voice package. Also, even if there was a perfect sounding TTS, there are many characters in the game and we might want unique voices for them. That's quite a lot of work.dusijun wrote:How about using a Text to speech (TTS) ?
