ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

It seems that a combination of a plain voratun amulet, and fire opal and pearl, has the fire opal bonuses doubled, and the pearl bonuses are correct. See the one that is equipped at:

I take it this is an error with how these special amulets are generated?

Actually, no.
When creating an Amulet of the Moon, a third gem is generated randomly and added to the amulet as well.
In your case, this just happened to be a fire opal.

Wow, that's fantastic. An extra 5% crit chance and 10% all damage is nothing to be sniffed at (especially when I already had that for starters).

Does the bonus one always have the same tier as the others? Or the lowest tier you used or something?

So is it random out of all gems and tiers, random out of the lowest tier out of the two, or random out of the tiers you have? I might do some updating of the wiki.
