ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Majority of the time when I launch the game straight from the .exe it'll boot up with no sound and I'll have to close it repeatedly until sound just works one time. I'm on my third install thinking it was a bad download/extract or something but I still get that. Another problem I've been having is the very first time I downloaded the game the T-Engine-Launcher worked but now it just causes a white pop up in the middle of my screen that crashes after a minute. It's not my addons as this happens on clean downloads
