ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I'm able to view my stuff on the website and whatnot, but after logging out of my online profile from within the game itself, I'm unable to log back in (in the game, I can log in through the website just fine).

Just a few things:

A) Do I need to type out my user name, or the email address I registered under?
B) I've waited about five minutes to try logging in again, only to receive the same error. (Unable to authenticate profile, please try again in a few minutes)

Like I said, I'm on the website and whatnot, and can log in and out, but it seems not to work in the game.

On an unrelated note, I created my profile after unlocking the Summoner class. This prompted said unlock to be erased, and I re-unlocked it on another character. My friend (player profile garumsh) also created his profile after unlocking a bunch of things, only to have to now re-unlock them. I'm not sure if this an intended bug or not.

Forums or Te4.org?

www.te4.org is the place to log on to. If you can there, and can't in the game, then there is some other reason it's failing (beta 18 right?).

Could be firewall (application not on "whitelist", port blocked, etc.) depending on which of these things exist.

I have tried logging in without my firewall on, to get the same error.

I have also tried creating a new account altogether, only to get the same error.

All with my firewall off.

And yes, I am using beta 18.

Any help would be appreciated. I'd like to get this problem solved before I continue on, because I'm close to unlocking a few things and if I register for an online account afterwords and intend on using it, my unlocks will be erased.

As always, your attention and help is appreciated.

Negative. The account name is the same as my forum ID.

bump, if only because I couldn't see it on the main page.

Lets do some faultfinding...

1) Isilartiou is taken... Good, so you are registered on Te4.org. (I tried to register it, and failed, because it's taken)
2) You could change you password on the site (test it yourself 1st, if it works you're a-for-away), and give it to someone to test from a PC that he connects successfully from, thereby narrowing it down to either, server issue, or an issue on your PC. (You can just change the password again after he tested).
Server) I think only DG can help you then, in fact, I'd suggest creating a new username, and trying again.
Your PC) Now it becomes very tricky... You probably have some applications/ports blocked somehow (Anti-virus software, firewalls etc.) Can you successfully connect via other games/software other than your browser to the internet?
