[Nightmare] Xerelegamira the Silent Death keeps OTKing me

Hi, i'm playing a Sun Paladin (sword n shield) in Nightmare difficulty, and i'm up to the slime tunnels just before High peak, but i'm stuck because XSD keeps dealing over 4k damage a turn to me and i just don't have enough to survive that, even if i manage to survive one turn i'm unable to deal enough damage to kill it within 2 turns, even if it didn't have 50% evade chance. How do people beat this thing?

If you really want to get help, could you post your character and any extra abilities XSD has?
Though HousePet does have some solid advice. If you can get within range 15 of XSD and pop a teleport rune, you'll have only a small chance of appearing next to him and a decent chance of being on the far side. Or just pull out your trusty ol' pick and dig around him.

Oh, he doesn't HAVE to be killed? I assumed he needed to be. I've skipped him and dealt with the fourth dude with ease just now, so i'll continue on then. Thanks
