And before you go on saying that the wizards teleport away when you arrive...well, Argoniel did not. Here is what I did: 1) Movement infusion when I saw the two wizards. 2) Move one tile while moving fast. 3) Use Stone wall to trap Elandar (this was my grand scheme from the beginning, to stop him from getting away). 4) Start blasting Argoniel. 5) She becomes hostile and the "reached destination in time" event does not happen. My time counter is still running towards zero.

So, what't the problem you ask? My archmage is certainly strong enough to take her out. Well, the problem is, that she is - invincible and doesn't take any damage at all .

Sooo, help pleaze. What do I do now? Recall? Let the timer run to zero?

EDIT. Also, if I'm not completely mistaken, Argoniel now has Elandar's spellset with Essence of Speed and the like active.

EDIT 2. Elandar didn't teleport away either. He has the same spellset as Argoniel.

Congrats on glitching the game, it seems. The Sorcerers should flee once they see you, and are indeed flagged as invincible. You should post this in Bug Reports.

The situation resolved when the timer ran out. Wizards disappeared and the fire guardian was there. Failed the quest, naturally. Haven't finished the game, hopefully they'll spawn normally in High Peak.
