ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Tried to get the achievement for several times, but just can't make it. Need some advice on it, s'il vous plait.
-Which class/race should I choose? I've failed several times with Thaloren Bulwark, is it a choice good enough to hold on with?
-What do I need to do with respect to equipments? Collecting them while not leveling up is really hard.
-What tactics should I follow?

I got this achievement on an Adventurer. If I recall correctly, I picked Higher for the regen racial and got a Golem and two points in the first Fire Alchemy talent. I don't remember what I spent my other class points on but it was probably another damage spell or a summon. For generics I got stuff like Phase Door to not die and I got a Mindslayer tree to dual-wield staves (got lucky and found a staff on the ground). It took a few tries but it's doable.

I'm told you can get lucky with a Halfling corruptor.

Thought mages would be one-shoted if Bill rushes.

Edit: Done with a Higher Bulwark. The trick is to move into the open area of the lair to enable enough latitude.

Hanzo sword.

The easiest way to Kill bill with a level 1 character is typically the cornac alchemist who puts two points into "Heat"(fire alchemy tree, unlocked with your Category point), and two points into Bomb.

Run through the previous levels, without leveling up, injure prox so he drops the scroll, read the scroll, reach Bill's lair...then take control of your golem, lure Bill down and hit him alot with heat. Reducing the golem leash distance to 1 and moving backwards is a valid strategy sometimes to keep your golem alive longer(so he can tank for you), while Bill burns.

Heh, it should be a tier 5 artifact sword, with a (worthless for something high level) on hit effect - "kills Bill instantly".

Haven't exactly tried to get the achievement but usually with mages I'm having it really simple. Blast from afar and phase out when too close. Just remember your shielding rune.

The easiest way is to ask Uma Thurman to do it.
