ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Can anyone tell me formula(s) that regulate how escorts are generated? I want to know probability of it generated in each zone ( I know from experience that it is two 1 tiers, daikara, old forest, Dreadfell and Reknor, but what chances that escort will be generated on said level of a zone? Is it equal? ) and probability of each type of escort quest

Loremaster and Temporal Explorer are rarer, other types are equal.

9 escorts generated, randomly among those zones, equal probability for each.

They can actually appear in 3 tier 1s. Trollmire, Kor'pul, and Norgos' Lair.

They can appear in heart of the gloom as well, unless something changed. I have never seen them in Rhaloren/Scintillating, but I assume those are also possible. The restriction about 2 means that they can only appear in 2 tier 1 dungeons at once, once you've done 2 of those, you won't see them in any later tier 1 dungeons.

Scintillating yes, I've gotten some... but Rhaloren, I've never seen one there.

It's the first two tier 1 zones you enter, whichever those may be, which have a chance of spawning escorts.

racial special zones may not apply for this. I know the dwarf zones don't. I don't know about the others.
