ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I was really exited about this new class, but it's locked and I don't want to cheat, so does anyone know the unlock event/quest/goal for it?

I especially ask because I suspect it might have something to do with Zigur and I never side with them during my normal gameplay, so I might have to make specific plans.

Randomly appears past L30.

Always appears for a Thalore.

Haven't been able to download 1.01 yet but, thinking back on what DG has said in the past, isn't Oozemancer now the donator's class and Stone Warden free?

Thanks, but do you know anything more? Do you have to fight an oozemancer or protect a one or something else? What class would be the best for this event. A wilder?

Like with the solipsist, at first I thought you have to kill the one in the Caldera, but you just had to see all the dreams. Is there a similar catch?

From the list of changesets:

"New zone: the sludgenest, it can randomly appear on the worldmap after level 30, Thaloren always get it. Beware you'll be slimed to death!"

So it's like for Solipsists, you won't get a guaranteed chance of unlocking the class unless you play a Thalore.

No, I was able to access it with the Ignore Race/Class Locks addon to check out the talents and see if it's worth the trouble of unlocking.

Like Solipsist, less gimmicky tho, I recomend a wilder with AM+Fungus for the unlock (AM shield helps a lot, but when i tryed it, the damage was overwhelming my shield and fungus empowered regens... dont bother too much with resists, boss can almost nullify 100% resist... Oh dont stand on the mucus. It hurts. A lot.) Just note that my AM summoner got the unlock and IMMEDIATLY died the next turn. I needed the blood of life to finish the job too. It's not easy.

Got him down to about 40 HP with my Stone Warden. Then my Eldritch Blow failed at a 4% chance of failure, and I died the very next round.

How do you even find him? I've been killing thousands of slimes to no avail. Do they just keep spawning forever?

There's a staircase. Somewhere. I advise using Burrow or Pulverizing Auger to dodge the endless waves of slimes.

They aren't technically endless: I think every wall in the level will eventually die at your hands, but that would take a long time.

Will an old thalore winner get a chance or do I need to start a new mindslayer to get there?

Is it like the rogue place or melinda? Or is it like the caludron.

Kinda want to know since running a character up to 30 for that one thing is a bit annoying but I generally play thalores anyway so have winners just sitting around.

You need to achieve level 30 to activate it.

So while a transfered pre level 30 character could get it, a level 31 character cannot get it.
