Another new feature?

I've seen 5-11 monoliths - each with an attendant elven cultist - on two levels now. Can't interact with the monoliths in any way, although I can tick off the neutral cultists with area-effect spells.

The second time they appeared all over the level after I had mostly cleared it.

Any idea what's the what?

Yes you can kill the cultist, and see what happens

Time to revisit a saved game, then. I must have missed a cultist.

Is it because I'm a lich, perchance?
