I have searched the forums and found no answer to this question:
How to get the Wild-gift/Fungus tree? Is it a special kind of escort i have to save as antimagic user?

Yeah, you have to feed one of the magic-using escorts to Zigur. Which is to say that you say you're going to escort them, and then mess with the portal. Not sure if it's random or a particular one, though.

But yeah. Arcane powered escort (Seer, Alchie, Sunpa, Anowhatsit. Think that's it?) while antimagic. Don't just kill them, etc.

i guess its random, course i have tried every escort class there is without success...

That used to be it, for a bit.

Now, to get Fungus, you have to be Antimagic, then see Derth attacked(Or see Derth be attacked, then get Antimagic). Clear out the elementals, then go to Zigur and get their help, then go complete the quest you're given. Going back to the leader of Zigur afterwards unlocks the tree.

The antimagic betrayal escorts give different rewards instead now.

Gah, completely missed that change. Just checked it, too. So used to th'derth quest not giving any reward I didn't even think to pop back in with zig's boss to check.

Now just to figure out how to work Fungal Growth and bloodcaller at the same time, hrm.

They work badly. BADLY.

Enjoy .341 regen per turn for x turns that prevents you from activating regen infusions and such.

Hehehe. Of note, there's talk of being able to manually remove "beneficial" effects next beta, which would drastically change this feasibility, if not only be incredibly annoying to me since I play 90% mouseless.

Thanks for the quick answer. Although the regen part can be annoying, I still get the tree with my AM Berseker.
