Just need to vent

Transmogrified the sandworm queen heart/pulsing organ.

Grrr. Scrap that character and remake. Is there a reason we're holding onto the identify mechanic? Seems the orb of scrying is just 1 more lbs a cornac can't hold compared to a skeleton.

Heh, I have wondered about that as well. I can see the argument for identifying items being a useless game mechanic at this point, but at the same time I would be okay with some kind of ID system globally as long as it made sense. Characters remembering items and egos as they progress, and maybe a random artifact of ID dropped. (Or purchased?) I dunno, but yeah it seems silly to have ID just for the artifacts, when you are already given the way to ID them by default.

The chest is a great idea, and I agree that identify doesn't serve an obvious function. It's automatic for everyone and just adds an additional button. It is fair to make the lore pop up on discovery, and I'd also add a dialog box confirming the destruction of artifacts.

I don't know, I like the giddy feeling I get when I get an unidentified grey item, but maybe that is just because I'm a new player and haven't seen them all yet, so there is still some suspense.

How do you get that Transmogrification chest anyway?

Nevermind, by the time it took for the mods to approve my first post (bot defence?) I already got it for the first time now. None of my previous characters where just able to defeat that boss, from there came the confusion. Exploring the Farportal now.
