ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

We all know that Lake Nur 3 is hugely out of level and surviving it is often just luck. Luminous horror armies seem to be the most common "SURPRISE!" deathtrap for the level (I counted 15 on my last game), but individual over-powered monsters can crop up. Just for fun, what's the worst you've encountered?

I just encountered Grqqlck the Devouring Darkness right next to the entrance stairs. 500% Resist All. None of the other stats really matter after that.

He's easy to kill, once you work out how...

Which makes it an interesting monster and not an example of the extremely out of level difficulty of Lake Nur 3, thus negating my own thread

Worms That Walk are pretty scary. Worm Rot in particular is very lethal and hard to avoid.

But, for my money, the worst thing I've ever run into in Lake Nur 3 was a Nightmare Horror. I didn't even try to fight it, I just ran.

More low level horrors would be good.

Eventually I'll get to them but if anyone wants to take a crack at coding some feel free to submit The more level appropriate horrors we have for Lake Nur the less chance that something nasty will spawn and the fewer luminous horror packs we'll see

I was considering making some horrors; I might toss some together later.

Ran into a radiant horror on my wildfire archmage... as you can guess it did not end well.

Been doing some more thinking, I can definitely think of some interesting horrors; some Nur level, some for the late game...

I play a Yeek summonless Necromancer and had 5 patrols of radiant horrors AND worm that walk AND NightMareHorror.
For a rogue this would be death.
For a Necromancer it was cake.
