ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I've been playing with both ideas and come up with nothing. The only thing I've thought of and not tried is the two halves of the staff plus the staff-enhancing special crystal plus L5 imbuing skills or the cage and the crystal heart and L5 imbuing skills.

Also, I found the lost staff belonging to the archmage in Angolwen and tried to return it to him. Is there any way to do so?

I'm curious about any little things that might be hidden away as possibilities.
