What is the mechanic for The Mouth? if no-one tells me my record-breaking (for me) Dwarf Zerker will die!

Don't attack the Mouth directly. Attack its spawned monsters.

Rule one; kill the summons, not the summoner, whenever possible.

If you stay far away it cannot hit you. Stick to the stairs area and wait for the minions.

Actually, i always simply step behind a pillar and then wait/rest for the summons. Makes the fight completely trivial.

Yeah, there's a pillar where you can avoid being pulled back so long as you keep it between you and the mouth.

If you're playing a Wyrmic, you can swallow the Mouth once it's down to 0% HP

And when he goes down, what's the point of the tooth and weird club?

They're unidentified artifacts (as the grey names indicate). Identify them, and it'll tell you.

The club is the crooked club, a quite nice one-handed weapon. The tooth is an awesome pick (goes in the tool slot) that does blight damage to your attacker every time you're hit.
