So I tried the antimagic route for the first time.
I went to Derth to kill the clouds and when I killed the last one(?) I did not recieve the usual pop up with the message they are all gone.
Then I realise I can not get the second part as the arch mage is no more in this game.
Or is there another way to get rid of the cloud over Derth now?

Go talk to the named NPC in Zigur. She'll point you in the right direction.

Do make sure you actually killed them all, though.

It certainly sounds like you missed one of the Es.

There was one cloud hiding east of Derth over the river so I never got the task.
Without depth armour I could not circle Derth with no teleport.
But digging through the trees worked so finally I got the last cloud and the task.

There was a typo with the named NPC in Zigur.
When I talked to him, I for unknown reason muttered that Derth was North East of Zigur. :p
