ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I've killed everything in the golem graveyard, and picked up all items, but can't find the gem that it looks like I need (from reading the lua files) to activate the golem.

Is there something specific I need to do to get the gem? Or do I just have to keep coming back until one of the golem enemies drops it randomly?

I believe it's dropped randomly much later in the game (east?). Then you can return.

I second the question. I've won the game a bunch of times with several different character classes, explored every place I could get to, and can't figure out where the Lost Eye of Atamathon is.

*coughs* Sandworm Lair *coughcough*

But only after you've been to the East. I found it once so far... but was too chicken to actually use the thing.

Yeah, defeat the back-up boss at the SWL for the eye. Atamathon is a push-over though.

i found a golem's eye in the sandworm lair in the same floor as the queen
the eye is named Phrothotipe's eye and it seems that the eye does not belong to the golem in graveyard
but the eyes provide unique enchants and add additional skill in golem summoning

the eyed also dont fit in the dead golem's eye

i got prothotipe's prysmatic eye as a reward for saving mirinda

Prothotipe's eye is an artifact, but not the one the OP is looking for. OP is looking for Athomaton's Ruby Eye, which drops from the Sandworm Lair backup guardian
