Speed boosts are currently replacing, not cumulative.

I think essence is cumulative with the speed timed effect.

It's just like D&D - if it shares the same name of effect on the left - then it replaces - if it does not - then it adds.

Not always. Some timed effects do have a merge, for example poison does. The default behavior is replacement, though.

So Essence is cumulative with other boosts, correct? It has it's own effect on the left.

Oh! I had boots of speed and nimble armor... so they do not stack? Or do they stack?

Suggestion: put global speed on the character sheet so we can see if we're speedy (or slow), and if so, how speedy (or slow) we are.

Nimble + speedy boots + quick weapons all stack - along with EoS and racial s.elf/blinding speed + momentum [if I remember right] - you can - with the right build, get to the point of having [without any artifacts] - gain a speed that will be roughly 2x as fast as anything with base 1.00 speed in every aspect.
