Is there a class requirement to get the unlock from this guy? I just tried with a Mindslayer and I didn't get the unlock (just plain killed the guy).

You need to have 10 "spells" to be eligible. So you pretty much need to be mage

It looks like it is more than 10 "spells", not 10 or more.

This is in range of most hybrids as long as they tend to the more magic side.
