ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

The Anorithil's totality skill says that it increases dark and light resist penetration by 6%. For monsters with innate positive resistances, it's clear what this does: it decreases the resists by 6%. However, can this skill decrease the resists below 0%? So if I have totality on, will I inflict 6% extra light damage on a monster that has no light resistance? (Will the effective light resistance of the monster become -6%)

Resist Penetration is not a straight minus to resist.

If a monster has 100% resist 6% resist penetration puts it's resistance at 94%. If it has 50% resist 6% resist penetration puts it's resistance at 47%.

Honestly I'm not sure what happens if you use it on creatures with negative resist but a creature with 0 resist would still have 0 resist.
