Last few skillpoints

Hi everyone,
Currently on my best character ever in any version of tome or angband.

The multiple lives does make a huge difference. My deaths:
1 - Hit the hotkey for jupgate as opposed to teleport to jumpgate
2,3,4 - Boss of the elven ruins, until I figured out I needed to get him in a long corridor and shadow blast.
5,6 - Orc ambush, man I hate those
Anyway, I am assuming that this will max out at level 50 like the old tome. Right?
So I don't hve many skillpoints left, so wondering what you guys would recomend. Have 5 class points saved up, 1 category, and 1 or 2 generic.
My standard operating procedure is shadow blast everything. This is a fantastic spell, duration is one turn less than cooldown. So I find a corner for the "hockey stick" and just shadow blast away. Anyone who gets around the corner (bosses) cops beams/stun/surge. Has been remarkably effective since the maze onwards.
So looking throug the skills there's not much left in the class area I reall want.
For generic I like the sound of the Hymn which blasts things, but don't like the sound of the negative energy drain.
I think the category point is going into another healing or shielding rune.
So what tips do you have? Anthing else about my character I should look at changing/fixing.
