What does burrow do?

Hi playing my first wyrmic, and have just learnt the burrow talent. But it doesn't seem to have any effect. I'm in the labyrinth and walk into walls and nothing happens. Am I missing something?

i don't think burrow works in the maze (some tiles are un-burrowable)

Burrow does not work on perm_walls, such as vault walls and the maze.

That's a little odd to me, actually. If anything, the mossy looking walls should be the ones that are decaying and able to be dug.
