Re: Boss Drops

I have not noticed a dungeon boss fail to drop an artifact. Can they not?
Actually...it could have spawned in a zone without you noticing it. As artifacts don't decay...Gandolfo wrote:That can't be true since I found nothing on Ruatha and have NOT found all the beginner area artifacts. (Never have seen Girdle of Might for example on this character and I know there are others, certainly didn't find the egg that sometimes drops from Ruatha.)

Basic logic: "if A then B" does not lead to "if not A then not B". If Rantha did not drop artifacts (B) and there are still level appropriate artifacts (not A) that does not disprove "if A then B". It does of course indicate that other things may cause B, which may be what you mean by "can't be true." The reason I emphasis this is I tend to read your statements as strong, bordering on confrontational. That could be my fault, and even if you mean to come across that way that is your prerogative. It may help to re-read your posts before submitting them.Gandolfo wrote:That can't be true since I found nothing on Ruatha and have NOT found all the beginner area artifacts. This means that people who scum or naturally play slower are more likely to find the last teen-level dungeon (Maze, OF, Daikara, SWL) they visit to be empty of artifacts since they have already found everything.
The internet is a poor medium for communication, and tone can be difficult to read. Glad we got that cleared up.Gandolfo wrote: I tend to be a bit blunt and I guess I can come off as arrogant but am not intending to be nasty about it. If you felt I was, I apologize.
Yup, the savefile is big. I'll check which files I need later...As far as info: I was level 18, Daikara was the last of the 4, and I don't have the save file you need since I have since progressed long past that. (Now delving the dreadfell.) Next time it happens I will make a note of it and copy the save folder. You will need to specify what files you want from it since the whole tends to be over 90mb.
