Is there a rule on which of these (or neither) can be used by someone looking for antimagic?

Yes, one of them broke the quest for me. I think it was the runes. The one with the scroll like effect.

Runes are magical, infusions are natural/wild. They are both rough parallels to scrolls/potions.

Did getting the scrying orb also ruin my chances of Antimagic? That's what I'm guessing did it in for my inaugural beta 14 character

I've gotten antimagic with a scrying orb person. (that's the thing you get the first time you find an unidentified artifact, right?

Yeah, found Mighty Girdle after taking a few steps in Trollshaws

Got the scrying orb, and used it before long. I'm pretty darn sure I used absolutely nothing but infusions, and didn't apply any runes. I did apply replacement infusions before level 15. I ran like a drunk bee around the world map when I hit 15, and no quest.

The quest is not longer triggered in the world map, but in the town Zigur

Is Zigur in the east or the west because I just checked the west map and didn't find it.
(but will look again if someone says it's in the west)

It is in the west, on the south end of a lake half way between Darth and Last Hope.
Magic using characters - reavers etc. - only see a patch of forest.

Thanks.
Level 9; haven't used any magic but did learn premonition.
No town showing up on the map.

One finds the scrying orb right after finding an unidentified artifact? Erm, where does one get it if one didn't? Because Gwai has two artifacts, one unidentified but she does not have any way to identify.

You get the Orb by talking to the seer in Derth after you find your first artifact.
Um... how did my Fighter fail the antimagic quest? I never inscribed a Rune on myself, let alone activated one. I have Mana talents but I haven't used one yet. I never used a wand.
I got the quest at level 5 and came back at level 17. Was that it? Was I supposed to show up at 15, or never?
I also have the Summertide Phial and have been using that to light things up. Does that count as magic?
Edit: oh, I think I found it....

Yeah - the Zig don't like it when you get too buddy-buddy with the wizardfolk.

At what level did you accept the quest? You will need to be at least 10 levels greater than when you accept it to continue...
