Freeze Lock

I maxed the freeze spell on my archmage (trying to boost cold damage to get cyromancer) and noticed that, on a normal enemy, it stuns for 6 turns.
It has a cooldown of 5.
I've killed many enemies with just repeated freeze spells. (And then died to the shade of Angmar by a freeze spell.
