First, thanks to DG for ToME 2 and now, ToME 4. I love the game. However, I have finally defeated the Master with my Dunadain Archmage. Took me many characters. Thanks for the info about the armor of stability. However, now I am in the land of the east and have found the unremarkable cave and beat it, but nothing else shows up in the east. Am I doing something wrong? I decided to kill the orc and unlocked the anorithil race, but I keep criss-crossing the far east and nothing else shows up. There is a shiny mountain range in the middle I cannot seem to get to. I also cannot get to Mount Doom on the original map either. Help?

Look closely at the brown shinny mountain range in the far most east

At one peek in the center of it in particular

Thank you for the help searching the mountains. I believe I have now finished the game. I died first after accidentally manathrusting the sun paladin by the teleport squares on Eruan. Maybe targeting allies should be changed? Or a dialog box asking "Do you want to attack you ally?" Anyways, great game. Now I have to try the Anorithil.

I guessed he was either a skeleton or found a potion with a kind of metallic flavor...

My first winner died on Moria's last boss
Gotta love metallic tasting potions.

I've only found it on two characters (aside from seeing it in the shop).
.... and one of them was a skeleton

Seconded. I think those potions were common for a while because of the money bug.

No, I didn't have the potion. I died and started over with another character. Very frustrating. I figured I didn't need to go to the Old Forest, so i just went straight to the Maze, left at CLvl 12 with the Helm. Seemed to work pretty well.
