ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to add new npcs, I've created a new chats> Asterius-Gaomant.lua and encounters > maj-eyal.lua using sage kitty as a base, but its not working and I cant figure out why (I just started dabbling in the modules last week, I've had good success until now) here is the in game error I get:

This a problem with the chat file as it says.

We can't provide any help when we can't see the chat file.
