The cage is an item in EoR, it's only availabe in a very specific region IF you enter it between levels 10 and 20 (yeah, i know, sounds stupid, but seems to be the case, i tested it out a couple times and never got it when i got higher). This item has recently been shadownerfed in general and in respect to the endboss fight in EoR specifically. I would argue for making it work against feed and (maybe) some other effects that are semi-mental but are not put in as mental due to not being worth purging like the CoE effects.

The item itself comes with significant downsides, but should make up for it with its one strong feature: complete immunity to mental effects(and heavy mind resistance).
This particular item used to be a pretty good tool in EoR, specifically against the endboss as it allowed immunity to a decent amount of his more dangerous debuffs. However, since EoR got released, several of the effects this endboss uses, are no longer mental, making gearing for the endboss much harder, and using the item less desirable in general.
The main ones here are:
Hexes
This was switched to magical,
(which had the unintended side-effect of also making the darkness/temporal affinity salve you'd originally use against the endboss to purge them substantially worse for use).

Feed
Feed was changed to other, normally not a big deal, and quite comfortable when purging mental effects... but it did have the unintended effect of not making this item work against it, thus making it useless against the highpriest(being immune to feed would weaken him substantially, which i would argue would offset the -25% global speed penalty somewhat).
This sounds like not too much of a big deal, but when you realise that theoretically you could gear darkness resist against him, and he (one of the tankiest bosses in the game) reduces your damage by 30% or so (i can't remember exact numbers, off my head) because of feed, then having an item in the campaign that would protect you from this dangerous effect might be good.
