Steamgun<->Sling

When I play the game with EoR DLC on, I see a lot of steamguns and steamsaws that are totally useless for my character.
There is no way I can use those weapons if I am not playing a tinker class. There is no way I can obtain mastery for steamgun/steamsaw.(unlike exotic weapon)
So it kinda bothers me those steamtech weapons eating up the loot table.
Yes. Somebody may argue that those eating-up-loot-table thing is for everyone. Like swords on archer, mindstars on archmage.
But I consider them as a different case; they are available for any classes.
For example, I can still take sword as my main weapon when I play an archer. I can still get mindstar mastery when I play an archmage and be an anti-magic-archmage.
How about steamguns and steamsaws?
No. It is impossible to get steamgun mastery or steamsaw mastery in this game if you are non-tinker class.
So, my suggestions are one of these:
1. Steamguns/steamsaws will not drop if player's class is non-tinker.
Cause if we can't use it, they are useless junks.
2. Steamguns<->Slings, Steamsaws<->One-handed weapons
I know tinker class can alter slings into steamguns. Then why not vice versa?
3. Steamgun/Steamsaw mastery
Like exotic weapons. Give player an option to get the masteries from escorts or Last hope merchant.
Imagine a bulwark with a steamsaw and a shield... Beautiful!
