how about this for a change, instead of an escort u lead to a portal, when u enter an area a pop up says "u hear cries for help somewhere" and you find the idiot in a cage or some shit and u have to but a rare or higher to set him free and then u get to pick your reward.

That's actually reminiscent of T2's princess quests: the princess is trapped in a small chamber in a room with a group of out-of-depth hostiles that you have to kill to release her.
