ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I'm currently stuck fighting Ukruk on Insane, who I simply cannot kill as a 32nd level Psyshot. For whatever reason, on this playthrough Toxic Cannister did not drop, and so my damage isn't as good as it might be, but I didn't have trouble with anything prior to Ukruk being unkillable.

He, though, has:
- Vitality level 9
- 83 Armor with 94% Hardiness, and something that is letting him shrug off Corrode regularly.
- 100% stun immunity, 72% Stun resist even when Wet, plus Unflinching Resolve level 9 so none of these would stick anyway and I also can't switch to my wounding ammo to slow his regen
- True Grit 3
- Adrenaline Surge, so I can't lock him out of his Stamina talents with Shocking Edge
- Juggernaut 1
- Heroism and Regen infusions, Shatter Affliction and Shielding Runes
- Lots of skills with actual physical shield

And I simply cannot kill him no matter how many times I hit him. I know I can choose to die in this one specific encounter and it will be fine, but it seems like a broader problem that might need to be solved with a longer cooldown on Vitality or some other system?

Wasn't Vitality hugely nerfed?

I dunno. Maybe not at talent level 9? In any case, hundred of hits from a t5 steamgun couldn’t get him below 50% health, so somewhere between all his stacking defenses he was over-durable.

Recently met in EoR randboss in minotaur clan...
That was horribru.
80 flat damres, that new rune - windstorm or something (which block any damage above some number right?), 70 phys res, Ice Core...
Wrathform on top of that so I coudn't block him.
My Psyshot was ice-specialized - Frozen Shards, Glacia and Eye of Winter.
I coudn't do anything to it, untill I changed mindstar to disruption, and dispel all his sustains, and that took too much time because to apply it I need to damage it and I couldn't.
Mino clan is high spike in difficulty there...
