I believe most people who have played Possessor can understand the frustration that, when you are about to kill a boss/rare and wanting to stick Possess onto it, only to find Possess to be shrugged off. When this happens sometimes I just run away for Possess to finish cool down, and re-cast Possess again.

Possess is a low damage talent which causes no debuff to enemy, so making it bypass mindsave does not really confer much advantage to the player, but it would remove the motivation for player to run away for failed Possessing

I've definitely had a lot of annoyance trying to possess orcs since they have so many anti-mental debuff skills, reducing its CD or making it an Other effect would help a ton since it's just really tedious to wait 30 turns every time they hit Pride of the Orcs to remove it (it doesn't help that this is literally everything in the east).

There isn't really any gameplay benefit to wasting a turn on Possess anyway unless you really want to possess it, in which case you'll probably run away for the entire duration of the cooldown. what fun.
