Some unbalance changes I'd like to see.

First, you know that "multiple attacks" effect on sawrd and some guns and saws? We should have an ego that does that so you can get that effect on randarts and purple items. Balance it like sawrd is balanced by having the ego reduce the damage on the weapon.

Second, make all staffs shortstaffs, as otherwise a lot of people think anything that's not a shortstaff is useless.

Buff the terrors summoned by the curse of nightmares level 4 effect by giving them some talents.

Give the alchemist golem some generic categories, a few more trees, and as many level up points as your character.

Speaking of that, you know how having an alchemist golem or the direct control summoner ability lets you change the talent priority on summoned things (even summons unrelated to that class, like from items)? Let every character do that by default, as summons are way too stupid otherwise, and it will really improve necromancer minions (and I'm hearing people say the best way to play necromancer is to not use minions right now)

Let us choose which other alchemist completes a potion when you turn one in, so you always get 5 elixirs and a final reward.

Just make item vault use local files and unlimited storage, as the way it is now you can just circumvent the limit by keeping a bunch of artifacts on characters that have already won, to dole out when needed, but it's so time consuming.

Randart gems. Including random effects for alchemist bombs.

Lower price on Last Hope merchant randarts to 1,000.

Guarantee every person in towns will be rare or above rank.

Make primal infusion scale with str instead of con.

Randart gem could be interesting.

Unfortunately it would be a dead art for most characters.

I'unno about dead. Anyone not antimagic could potentially nab up... 7? I think. Imbue + crafty hands (3), two rings, limmie's amulet (assuming you find the tome).* Anyone could get at least two, if the things were competitive with randart/artifact rings. It might actually be something that caused folks to actually buy gem rings, ha.** Pretty sure you can stuff artifact gems into those things, anyway...

I guess it'd be expensive to go full bore, but depending on what the gems got it could potentially be like nabbing about half another character's worth of effective item slots. Even for up to six generics, and a cat and prodigy point, I'd probably call that relatively cheap...

* Probably have to either disable them for the third gem or draw from your inventory or somethin', though. It'd be a complete mess if limmie junk could gen itself into something that functionally ruins your item.
**Which'd be nice, I guess. You gotta' kinda' feel for those poor things. Once upon a time they were almost relatively good enough to use. Then the really special rings got turned into an amulet (badly needed at the time, for what it's worth), randarts/rares came along, power creep/ego saturation rolled into town... now I wouldn't really be surprised if most folks forgot it was even possible :V

As it stands, sawrd deals about twice as much damage as the Legacy of the Naloren, the weapon that requires a freaking prodigy.

Sawrd is a weapon in its own league, far better than any other weapon that used to exist before it. It desperately needs a nerf. Introducing more of its kind would be a radical change. It would render all existing weapons without the modifier obsolete and useless.

the only way to balance sawrd is to remove it from the game

If AB depends on an item to be good then there's more pressing issues with it
it's still a great class, just questionable how it'll perform in madness.

How to balance Sawrd:
-Reduce multiple attacks to 2 or
-Remove physical bleed
Still strong and slightly stronger than naloren but its acceptable in my opinion. Its kinda rare drop compared to guarenteed naloren.

You can't really balance multiple attacks. Trust me, me and stunt tried.

What if the number of extra attacks was reduced to 1?

Still better than everything else though it drops off hard with armor

It actually doesn't matter at all. Armor doesn't penalize multi hit attacks any more than single hit attacks. Flat damage reduction on the other hand does.
