Suggestion: Have heightened senses work through blindness

As is, heightened senses and infravision are pretty much the same thing, and heightened senses are relatively pointless for most characters (at least IME; YMMV).
As heightened senses is supposed to be about non-visual perception, at least from what I've understood, it seems that having it work through blindness would make it both more useful and more mechanically distinct from infravision.
Whether it should work completely through (negating the effect of blindness for spotted enemies), or only partially (allowing you to detect, but not removing all penalties associated with attacking unseen enemies) would be a matter of balance, I guess.
