Name: This seems wrong, somehow... (Alternately: That's some Red Mage logic, there).
Qualifiers: Unfreeze yourself from a block of ice by casting Freeze at it.

Because fighting Fire with Fire doesn't work in this game, but you can fight Ice with Ice!

(This happened to me and I was so disappointed that there wasn't a quippy remark about it)

Yes it does.

Wildfire Mages can use Cleansing Flames to remove any physical effect from themselves, including the effect of being on fire.

In other words, you can stop yourself from being on fire by setting yourself more on fire.

No, your Achievement idea is fine as-is.

But if you say that you can't fight fire with fire, you are hilariously wrong.

So I corrected the wrong part, and didn't comment on the part that was fine as-is. Nothing more.

i think there is also acid wave rune that clears yourself of magic effect. although, you are not exactly casting it on yourself.
so if reaver's acidic skin is magic, that could work too?

you know... might aswel make a "stop hitting yourself" achievement, if rogue's talent (or something like that) causes you to hit yourself.
