On my current playthrough, I forgot that you needed to talk to the Butler and select specific dialogue options after you conquer the fortress make the chest start gathering energy, so I lost out on quite a bit of energy until I realized it.

Since I can't think of a serious reason the player would not want to 'link' the fortress, maybe this should be done automatically the first time you talk to the butler?

Ah, right. Then the chest could be made to auto-link when you connect the RoR?
