Tone down tree of life graphics

Right now I have a huge vortex of green following me that interferes with being able to see the positioning of enemies around me. While it looks cool for the first minute, it gets really tiring to look at after a few hours. Maybe it could be replaced with something more subtle, like the 'font of life' terrain effect?
