it would be useful, rarely, to have another inventory tab showing what is at your feet. for instance just now i was leaving the undead start, the transmog came up and i saw a weapon i wanted, but i misclicked drop instead of wield, so that weapon was lost forever because there is no going back to there. actually, as i type this i'm realizing that just removing the drop option from the transmog list would fix this since it wont let you use the stairs anyway if you're over weight.... no reason to drop from that point.

I'm not sure this is neccessary. Removing the "drop" option from the Transmog Chest might make sense, but an entire new inventory tab for items on the ground is not needed. For the vast majority of the time, items at your feet will be picked up instantly, the only time they aren't being your first character before you get the Transmog Chest.

The best fix for your situation (other than being a bit more careful, but mistakes happen to all of us) would be to disable the drop option only when transferring between levels, to prevent that from happening again.

There's no transmog chest in the Arena.

This tab would be useful in the Arena, and other similar campaigns.
