Mindstars

So Mindstars in and of themselves are nice, but I would like to see a little more variety... For example, right now you have psiblades and if you use a certain mod, psiclaws... and that's it. I was thinking of learning the code and making something like a staff mindstar class which could make an psi scythe or other psi polearms, but I don't think I'll have time. You guys see my point though?

Maybe a psi shield? physical classes have regular shields and I believe addon bucklers, and wardstones for other classes, however a shield gives the mindstar more variety

There's
this thread, which suggested mindstar spear thingies.

Well thank you grayswandir, I use several of your mods because, let's face it, you know what you are doing. Was also thinking about a new type of glove that has no real stats of it's own, but can attach a mindstar for a true unarmed psi combatant. Just ideas for anyone who wants to use them, maybe even Darkgod? *hint hint*

Compare this to swords and axes and maces, though.
There's only one mastery talent for all three types, and it's in a tree that covers a bunch of things that aren't even related, while Mindstars are special and have their own tree.
I don't really see the problem?

I just think it'd be good to see mindstars get a melee class where they aren't a sidegrade build. While Cursed mindstars and such are perfectly viable, the only classes that are meant to use mindstars are things like Oozemancers and Summoners, and there they're basically used like an Archmage uses a staff.

But isn't that like asking for a caster wilder class that uses sword and board?

No, I'm asking for a class that focuses on the mindstars themselves. A melee class that focuses in willpower and mindstars instead of strength and weapons or dexterity and daggers. It'd probably have a few wildgift abilities, or could even be a star and spell class (like Arcane Blade for tree-huggers), but just something.
Although I've actually got an idea for making mindstars cooler and more usable for everyone. Let them meld or grow into other weapons. So let's say I'm playing a Wyrmic and I've got a good stock of cool mindstars by level 45, but I use two handed weapons. I can go to Zigur and pay the mindstar shopkeeper some amount of money (I'm thinking 200*2(N-1), where N is the number of egoes both weapons have together) to have the mindstar put its roots into your favorite greatsword, adding part of the mindstar's abilities into it.

Heh, or maybe make Bill's tree trunk have a Mindstar socket.

Or the reverse?
"Hey baddie, see that tiny mindstar?"
(activates Psiblades - big trunk pops out)
Monster flees in abject terror.
Victory by phallic symbolism.

Hi
I've deleted a post here as it was found to be offensive. Please keep in mind that this is a family forum and your responses reflect that!
Thank you.

I think that mindstars should be decoupled from equilibrium for its mastery. You're making PSIblades not some sort of nature blade. This may require that oozemancers get some of their talents changed, or some new ones added.

Perhaps two categories, psiblades and nature's wrath?

If you turn the equilibrium based mindstar mastery into some sort of nature flagellism type skill, thorn grab will actually make more sense.

Mindstars are perfectly usable, but only within a very limited spectrum, and I see the potential for much more. True, things like swords, axes, and maces have a tree where you can use any of them... relatively equally, Mindstars are pretty much just one weapon, psiblades (for a melee class). I can see Mindstars being used for much more, and being a kind of energy weapon, so many possibilities exist right? If I could learn to code it I would do it myself, just to show some examples, even if they are unbalanced at the time.
