Map Marking and annotating

So, recently, i was playing a character and had just returned from the far east. First thing i did before backup guardians was to go to places where there were vaults that i did not open or places with chests that i didn't open. However, some of these vaults were harder to find than others (dreadfell and its 9 levels) and some places where i left golden chests i couldn't find very easily. And we know auto-explore doesn't find those things for you once you've completed the level. So, wouldn't it be very convenient if players could mark or annotate things on their map? Maybe with like paint, or text, or something but some way to put markings on the map i feel would greatly help players. What do you guys think?

If the place is unlit, illuminate the area near the chests or vault entrances (use an item like the Summertide Phial if you haven't access to illuminating spells - or even an infusion if you haven't anything better.) You can also use mapping talents or items to the same effect.
When you come back, hit scroll lock and scroll the map to locate the unopened chests etc.
Simple enough and easy to do. The hardest part is to remember to "mark" the spots you want to come back to later.

There's a ... Zomnibus addon, or something? I don't use it but I think it has some marking stuff.

There are two addons included in
ZOmnibus that would probably be applicable here:
- Notes to Self can be used to keep notes about what levels in what zones have uncompleted vaults or chests.
- Once you're on the right level, Go to Landmark will allow you to navigate to unopened chests (it doesn't do vaults, but those aren't too hard to find on the mini-map).
