ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

My previous PC had an older SSD. I paid a lot of money for a boot only drive (it was 2009 - about $150 for 30GB). Because of the capacity and limited read/write cycles I was forced to use junction to decide where my save files should be stored. It was kind of annoying, but I figured it would be addressed eventually.

It still hasn't been addressed. I love the game, but this isn't okay. This should not be automatically decided - the user needs to be able to direct the location of every file that gets stored on his/her PC. I understand the desire to support multiple users, but the option to control the save locations absolutely needs to be included.

If I have to involve third party programs to store my save files where I want them, something is wrong. Darkgod, your minions beseech you.

Actually, this was addressed a good while ago

On windows the launcher has an option for that.
On all OSes you can pass --home <location> to the exe

Well damn, now I feel like a moron. I also love you even more for how quickly you replied.

Any easy way to do this with the Steam version? Us steam folks don't interact with the launcher.

Right click on tome => properties => set launch options => enter:
--home c:\where\ever\you\want
