Give daze a 'power'

Presently any damage finishes a daze. While this is the basic of the effect, it is problematic when the attacks project small DoT (bleeding, for instance). Many items have such an effect and it definitely ruins great talents like mortal terror, giant leap, etc.

The idea is to give daze a 'power'. Only damage above the power would finish the daze. The power could be in the range 5-25 for items, depending on their tier and ditto for dazes applied by talents. This will filter out small damages from bleeding, poisonous blades, etc, , while larger damages from blows, spells, larger DoTs, would still terminate a daze. So, one could safely use a daze on a foe for escape, healing, attacking another foe, etc, but any real attack would have the normal daze termination effect.

Clever.

Could be sqrt of apply_power by default, with new effects specifying the value differently when appropriate.

Square Root could work.

Maybe have it be a percentage of Current or Max Life?

This would definetely be nice. I do think using a % of enemy life (current or max) as greyswandir suggests would be best.

I think % of current would be the way to go. The closer something is to death the more likely it is they will "snap out of it" when being hurt and focus again on survival.

That means that if you hit a group of foes with an area attack, the popcorn will snap out of it while elite / boss foes remain stuck.

That's not the effect you intend, is it?
