patrols of magicians hunting down wilders/anti-magic users

nature vs magic looks kind of one-sided at this moment
sure, we have corruptors who gather in the mark of spellblaze preparing to attack zigur, they hide till their time come, so it doesn't make sense for them to patrol killing anti-magic users and wilders, people of angolwen (officially) don't do it too, but there should be others. slavers in the hidden compound are definitely magicians and i don't think they like zigur and its sympathizers that much; young mages of angolwen, like that guy whose diary we can find in the maze, or like that young magician on the map who ask you for an artifact (and who can kill zigur patrols btw), i don't think all those people accept that it's only they who should be hunted, there could be some, probably rare, groups of them killing everybody who use equilibrium or went antimagic because he is the enemy of arcane

The moon is approximately 384,400 km from the earth.

If anything, there should be less Zigur patrols.
The Spellhunt finished ages ago. Most of the effects of the Spellblaze have left living memory and important people know it was the Mages who worked the hardest to fix things.
Support for Zigur would be dwindling and there aren't rampant magic users outside certain hidden groups.
Could have them as a rare random encounter where they try to search you for magic.
If you are a Zigur follower, they could just greet you and tell you what great work you are doing for Nature.
If you don't have any magic talents or magic equipment, they could commend your wisdom and give you a leaflet.
If you don't have any magic talents but do have magic equipment, they could warn you about the dangers of Magic, but let you leave unharmed.
If you have runes but no actual talent points in magic abilities, they would force you to remove the rune. You could do a cunning check to hide the existence of any rune inscribed.
If you do have magic talents, you would need to pass a cunning check, or they would try to 'cleanse' you.
If you are a mage class, expect to be attacked on sight.

While it would certainly be believable on the surface, most Arcane users are... Unwelcome, to say the least.
Angolwen is very seriously disliked by most of civilization in Maj'Eyal, because of all the harm they've caused (or been rumoured to have caused) in the past. Their hunting of Ziguranth would be seen as an act of aggression, at best.
The Rhaloren are, as we brought up, in hiding; hunting antimagicians would waste manpower, and probably get them all killed. They're hiding for a reason.
What I wouldn't mind seeing, though, is Rhaloren (very, very rarely) wandering the map, targeting adventurer parties, and
recruiting them. It's small, but I think it'd be pretty cool.
Those are some interesting points you bring up, Housepet.

Angolwen has done no harm to anyone (except maybe a few evil or deranged mages), and has done a lot of good.
Angolwen was set up during the Spellhunt.

We need spoiler tags.

official angolwen didn't, but it seems there are some magicians, probably trained in angolwen, who are not particularly hidden or kind, a few of adventurers are magicians after all (and adventurer parties may be more deadly than zigur patrols) and those who i mentioned above - slavers and two particular young angolwen mages

I wasn't referring to anything that can't be learned at the start of the game.

It'd be cool if a certain Corruptor were hunting for Zigur followers, so when you became a Zigur follower you'd have some bonus encounters with Mage-class and Defiler-class opponents.

True... Still, I lament their lack.

Having extra options for Ziguranth and Corruptor patrols would be cool, especially if they become character dependant. I doubt that'd he enough to make it on the urgent-priority list though. Of course, I seem to forget there aren't any Corruptor patrols...

Are you just randomly wandering off-topic?

Zigur patrol behavior is currently character dependent.

honestly current zigur patrol behavior doesn't make much sense, you can have zigur patrols hostile to you and you can enter zigur to shop there at the same time, you can even flee from zigur patrols to zigur
