Two new Afflicted categories

How do these sound?

Pain Attunement - low level class category for Cursed. Uses Willpower for requirements. Would start unlocked.
Life of Pain: passive. The pain of wounds is nothing compared to the pain of your existence every day. Grants flat damage reduction.
Pain Furnace: passive. The more your hurt, the more you hate. You gain hate when damaged.
Agonising Strike: active. Use a weapon attack to channel your eternal agony onto another. So its a weapon attack that also inflicts the agony damage over time effect.
Feel my Pain: sustain. Share your pain with everyone around you. Whenever you take damage, all creatures nearby are inflicted with a percentage of that damage, as mind damage. Doesn't reduce the damage you take in any way.

Malign Manifestation - high level class category for Doomed. Uses Willpower for requirements. Starts locked.
Shadowy Tentacles: sustain. Your hatred for all things manifests as shadowy tentacles around you. They move independently but respond to your hate. Each turn a random creature in radius 3 is attacked by a tentacle. This attack still occurs if you have used another talent to command a tentacle to attack a specific target, it is still random however. Tentacles do darkness damage with a chance to blind.
Corporeal Tentacles: hybrid. Active: Attack target creature with a tentacle, pinning it in addition to damage. Requires Shadowy Tentacles active. Passive: This talent adds physical damage to tentacle attacks.
Ethereal Tentacles: hybrid. Active: Attack target creature with a tentacle, dispelling it in addition to damage. Requires Shadowy Tentacles active. Passive: This talent adds arcane damage to tentacles attacks. Manaburn instead, if you are a Zigur follower.
Tentacle Ra... Doom: active. Attack target creature with all your tentacles. For x turns they are struck multiple times a turn. Requires Shadowy Tentacles active and places it on cooldown.

Can't really comment on Doomed, but your Cursed tree gave me an idea. What if the flat damage reduction of the T1 talent stored it as 'Pain', kinda like Retribution, and that was used by the other talents? It could reduce damage by x and spread part of it as a self-DoT that regenerates Hate each tick. The T3 strike could transfer the entire bar onto a target and amplify it, T4 could release it as a Mind damage AoE that perhaps has some additional effects/passives. Merging the Hate regen into T1 frees up T2 to give you space for more ideas too.

I like them both.

Would having the tentacles up drain hate per turn or per strike? I think maybe it should or else you can just leave the tentacles up forever and let them do all the work. Blind can be powerful.

I think a sustained Evard's Doomed build would be freaking amazing!! They'd be distinct from Shadows, as they'd probably be comparatively less mobile, and limited to melee attacks (obviously)

Great ideas overall, but I have a few comments, questions, and suggestions.

Life of Pain: This overlaps with Tenacity a lot. I would make it something more different like gaining a stacking boost to all resistances when hit.
Pain Furnace: Simple but helpful. I like it but maybe add something else, like gaining mindpower when damaged as well.
Agonizing Strike: This is good. My only concern is that it uses one of Doomed's signature talents rather than something more generic or unique to Cursed.
Feel my Pain: This is good. Would this sustain have a cost?

Shadowy Tentacles: This is awesome. It's kind of like Shadows but with a different twist. How many Tentacles would you have at a time? I'm a bit scared of buffing Doomed rares but that's another issue I guess.
Corporeal Tentacles: This is good.
Ethereal Tentacles: I'm not exactly sure what you mean by dispelling but other than that it's good. I like the added affect for Zigur followers.
Tentacle Doom: Wouldn't the Tentacles just disappear when the sustain is deactivated? I'm not exactly sure what this does but it seems like a massive attack at the cost of turning off your sustain.

@Pain Furnace: Hate has this as a feature innately. I mean, you could increase it, but eh
@Ethereal Tentacles: Ehhhh probably not@Arcane Damage

Life of Pain: It does overlap with Tenacity, but Tenacity takes a while to get, only works while Rampage is active, and it would be nice to be able to have some tankiness outside of Rampage.

Pain Furnace: Hate does do this automatically, but only when you are near death. Could be merged into Life of Pain as a similar effect to the Feedback bar.

Feel my Pain: Could drain Hate while triggering. Only once per turn though.

Shadowy Tentacles: Does not actually spawn creatures. Could certainly cost Hate per hit. It shouldn't Buff Doomed rares, as the talent points have to come from somewhere.

Ethereal Tentacles: Would dispel magically buffs from the enemy hit. I don't see a problem with it doing arcane damage as even Oozemancer can do arcane damage.

Tentacle Doom: This deactives Shadowy Tentacles so that you are only hitting the target creature with tentacle attacks. So its a massive attack by focussing the tentacles onto one target.

Mana Clash is a special case (because it's backlash from the target's magic). Arcane damage should only result from magic.

Actually, the Oozemancer has one talent that does manaburn arcane damage outside of Mana Clash.

I think it's interesting to have that tentacle ability add arcane damage, and make that damage manaburn arcane if you're a Zigur follower. You're tapping into a bit of magic, adding it into your hateful psionic tentacles, whereas if you're of the Ziguranth, you're infusing the tentacles with arcane backlash. I think the ability neatly straddles the arcane/AM divide theme that permeates much of ToME

But manaclash shows that magic can be manipulated by non magical forces.

Also, arcane damage isn't neccessarily magical. A corruptor for instance, can cause nature damage.

Anyways, can someone please make the whole Doomed tentacles tree a thing? I really want to have shadow tentacles to accompany my shadows!
