New Achievement - killing Subject Z as a Yeek "the hard way"

The achievement would be for killing Subject Z and saving the Yeek Wayist, as a Yeek, and most importantly before leaving the Ruined Halfling complex.

(This would also serve as a hint to new players that leaving before killing Z is a thing which can be done.)

Now that's a rather bold statement, because you usually have 3 turns to act.
No class can kill him in that time and without some extra status effect like stun or freeze it's nigh impossible.

I've managed that once on an Archmage but it sure took some tries. Killing Z without caring for Wayist is entirely different thing then.

yeah - the achievement needs to be for "save the wayist", not just "kill Subject Z"

Good catch, yes, that's my intention. :)

I've unlocked the mindslayer as a geek solipsist on my first attempt, so it's definitely possible. Died later in the dungeon though...damn skeleton mages..

This is a huge challenge… Summoners could do it. Archmages too and with a little luck a Berserker could as well.

I'd like to see this.

Alchs can do it also IF their golem is built right, and IF they get lucky. If the golems knockback hits, you have a very good chance to win. If the knockback misses, or is resisted, well, good luck Mr Wayist.

Its for sure a challenge and would be a welcome achievement

A necro could probably do it too.

You think so?

You'd be at a pretty low level and you could only summon minions close to you… I suppose most any build could theoretically do it but regardless, it'd be a heck of an achievement. I think one of the hardest in the game.

It's not too bad as an Archmage thanks to Freeze and controlled Phase Door (4/5). I start by Phase Dooring the Yeek to safety then using high damage spells on Subject Z, saving Freeze for when it looks like I'm in danger. I don't know of any other class that could do it as easily.

Necro can do it reasonably easily for the same reason as Archmage - level 5 phase door letting you teleport others. Just chuck the Wayist into a corner somewhere, then Z is a hardish but doable fight.

Theyleon,

Good call. I just so rarely use the lvl 5 teleport that early that it honestly didn't occur to me.
