ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

So...I just had a game where the Sandworm Queen loaded off in the sand away from any burrower paths. The ONLY reason I was able to complete the level was because I had the Tooth of the Mouth and was able to dig faster than the tunnels collapsed and could thus search the boundries of the level. Now granted, the Tooth appears in almost every game. But maybe, given that she's the QUEEN of the sandworms, one could give her the ability to detect the player from afar and burrow through sand herself to avoid this annoyance?

I'd be for this change, lost a Cornac Cursed once due to her being off the beaten path.

That would be a nice change, yes.

Since when can she not burrow?

I could have sworn she's chased me before. Then again, I've killed her with suffocation... So I may have just guessed wrong.

It happened to me once too, i had to look for her with digging around for a while , reported it back in 1.0.4

Not sure if she can burrow or nut but you won't see that often. Usually she doesn't but it may be because she just doesn't detect and/or char the player.
May also be that in some rare cases she carries a pick.

Is her level set or does it scale too? If it scales it might be a litter level queen can't burrow while a higher level can.
