ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

Simple enough. Add a lore note, or scripted instructions, whatever, to teach new users about the chat system. I'm still getting questions (either through the on-site chat, or from those who figured out how to right click and whisper) of 'How do I chat?' in game.

Furthermore, at the same time, it's probably worth noting that one should be polite, and not aggressively harsh towards others or there ideas, and make a note of the report feature so that people know that it's there. (though hopefully, this won't be necessary. I have strong faith in the community to sit on the possible offensive users, but it's best to prepare for the worst.)

Perhaps, for the turorial, have a gate. To open the gate, you need to query the chat, and it will supply a code to your name, allowing you to open the door. Too complicated?

I also agree that poor behaviour should not go unnoticed. Getting it while it's one or two bored players is easy though.
