Ancestral Life out of the Fungus tree offers a way to get rest equilibrium regen to anyone who can field a heal or regen effect (since the heal will trigger the second skill in the tree, thus giving you regen and equilibrium regain). The only thign it takes is time and annoyance. Given that that's the reason rest mana was added to manasurge runes and whatever it was that the stonewardens got, and presumably the reason rest equilibrium was added to meditate....

I suppose someone *could* sink three points into the fungus tree without any heals or regens, but at that point, I hardly think a bit of equilibrium recovery for their trouble would be excessive, as they'd get basically nothing else from the tree.

It would let anyone who went antimagic way have a straightforward way to recover equilibrium for the shield - but, again, they already have that as long as they're willing to spend the cat point to unlock, and deal with the hassle (or set up the triggers to just autofire the thing).

One way to combine this into a Manasurge-like package would be to have Ancestral Life grant +0.5 Equilibrium on-rest regeneration to your Healing and Regeneration inscriptions.

So if you have two such inscriptions, good work on your +1.0 Eq regen.

That idea sounds good to me.

Extend it all types of infusions, but maybe at a lesser amount.
So 0.2 per infusion equilibrium regeneration on rest.

The actual numbers really don't matter a whole lot - in fact, they *should* be low, since that just penalizes people who are resting for brief periods while they wait for enemies to come around corners, and that's when Ancestral Life is really bad at this sort of thing (because either you're already have a regen up, due to healign in the moment or perma-regen, or it'll be a particularly bad time to put your heals on cooldown.

The idea of tying it to infusions is interesting, but a bit flawed. At this point int he tree, you get it for any source of regen, and any significant heal. If you take Ancestral Life up high enough, even Natures Touch off of a betrayed escort becomes a net equilibrium reduction... and as noted, going Fungus and not taking some decent source of regen/heal to be supproted by it is a little silly, *especially* since Ancestral life itself comes packaged with a speed boost for them.

I'd say more like .2 per point of skill, or something like that.
