I mean, I know now that I should've probably changed the staff type before morphing it, but seriously? Now the staff is locked to blight on my alchemist, and will just be trashed.

This is probably a bug. The staff is supposed to be arcane damage and I am pretty sure it is really supposed not to be mutable. (and the code explicitely removes command staff)
But blight....

Yeah. If the staff could be commanded, OR it were just set to Arcane before the transformation bonus were applied, then it would be useful to somebody at least.

I got burned too when I first used the Crystal Focus on a staff. Either document that it'll grant some Arcane bonuses, or just do the smart thing and make the target staff Arcane before transforming it.

Okay, I'll make it change the staff to arcane.

Have you tried setting the staff to arcane before transforming it? It's the worst possible thing to do. You end up holding a dragonbone staff with a 10% damage bonus; it overwrites it instead of increasing it. This could be considered a bug, but currently, telling people to command the staff to arcane is very harmful advice.

That's awful.

Yeah, sounds like a bug.
