ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

The idea is simple: some characters have left over talent points at the end of the game and some have left over generics. Make a side-quest... somewhere in the post-40 level range (and have it expire by 49 let's say) that lets you swap up to five unused talent or generic points for five of the other.

Would that mess with the balance too much? Maybe two points...

There's always a use for points, on every class, on both sides. And the choke some classes feel for points on one side or the other is a balancing mechanism, so swapping is probably a poor idea.

Fair enough, but I think it limited it to just a couple points and held off until late in the game, it wouldn't throw off the balance too much but it might make a few more specialized builds viable.

Or do you think the balance is that tight?
